SICAP continues successfully with the redevelopment project of El. Venizelou Avenue. Specifically, the project involves the section from Chalkida Beach up to the Darig junction (Venizelou Avenue and 28th October Street). The initial contract was signed between our company and the Municipality of Chalkida, with a total budget of €4.7M!

The works include:

• Asphalt paving
• Wider sidewalks, improving safety and easy accessibility
• Exclusive bicycle lanes and stops on both sides of El. Venizelou Avenue
• Innovative technology electric lighting system
• A green traffic island with a single planting
• Construction of ramps for persons with a disability and guidance for the blind
• Temporary parking spaces
  
  

The Challenge
Implementation of the project within 12 months, considering the construction requirements, as it concerns the most central and busiest part of Chalkida.

Goal:
A transportation with high priority for pedestrians and cyclists, separate from motorized traffic, and facilitated parking in the city.
