Inauguration of HERACLES G.C.C. New Net-Zero Emissions Plant

On Thursday, May 29th, 2025, the inauguration ceremony was held to mark the completion of the transformation project of HERACLES G.C.C. Plant in Milaki, Aliveri, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This is one of the most significant environmental projects currently underway in the Greek industrial sector, aiming for a gradual transition to zero-carbon cement production through the use of innovative technologies.

At the project's launch event, the CEO of SICAP and CEO of the SABO Group, Matina Kiliari, as well as the President of the SABO GROUP, Dimitris Kiliaris, were in attendance, actively supporting the initiative of HERACLES company and specifically, the strategic plan of the Group’s CEO, Dimitris Chanis.
We are extremely proud of SICAP CONSTRUCTION's collaboration with the HERACLES Group on this innovative project, which has already begun with the construction of a 6.7 MW photovoltaic park at the AGET HERACLES plant in Milaki, Aliveri.


More specifically, the SICAP team completed earthworks for the creation of stepped bases for the photovoltaic glass panels, as well as trenching for the routing of DC, AC, and MV cables across an area of 65 65 acres (approximately 65,000 square meters). In parallel, rainwater drainage works road surfacing, and road construction were also carried out in parts of the area.
