SICAP Constructions successfully delivered the “Rovies – Ilia” road section of Regional Road 28 in Northern Evia - an important infrastructure upgrade that improves safety and restores continuity along a challenging part of the network.

The 4 km route was opened to traffic 3 months ahead of schedule, demonstrating strong execution and the ability to deliver complex construction projects reliably.

The official opening took place in the presence of Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, highlighting the project’s importance for accessibility and regional development. 
He was welcomed by President of SABO Group Dimitris Kiliaris, SICAP CEO Matina Kiliari, Regional Governor of Central Greece Fanis Spanos and Deputy Regional Governor of Central Greece Giorgos Kelaiditis, Director of Technical Works of Evia Regional Unit Alexandros Vagelakos and Project Manager Dimitris Antoniou. Government officials and institutional representatives were also present.

In a demanding geotechnical environment, the works included:

• Slope stabilization and rockfall protection
• Construction of lane covers and reinforced embankments
• Full road reconstruction to modern standards

The result is a safe and resilient route that improves daily mobility, ensures uninterrupted traffic flow and supports local economic activity.
