SICAP is implementing a major port project with a total Budget of €1.2Μ for the construction of quays at the "Petalo" area of the new Symi Port, which will now be able to accommodate passenger and ro-ro vessels (O/G–E/G) on the Piraeus – Rhodes route.

The overall works include:

• Reducing traffic congestion in the town center, especially during ship arrivals
• Construction of a boat lifting ramp
• A berth for cruise ships
• Capacity for more tourist vessels to dock
• Easier access & mooring for large day-cruise ships
• Electromechanical works
  
  

A real challenge on site: Our engineers are tasked with completing the port construction work while keeping the traffic open for both pedestrians and vehicles.

This project significantly contributes to the functional and transportation upgrade of the island, enhancing Symi’s tourism and commercial activity.
