The initial contract signed between SICAP & Istiaia Forestry for the construction of 23 weight dams and the flood protection of the areas declared in a state of emergency after the fires of August 2021.

Purpose of the project:

• Retention of the transported materials produced by the action of the waters.
• Achievement of a compensation slope to reduce the speed of water flow on the stream bed
• Limitation of surface runoff.
• Avoidance of erosion with effects on settlements, infrastructure, and culture projects but also crop works.
