4 months ahead of the contract schedule, SICAP successfully implemented the reconstruction and extension of the Lipsi dock!

The remote island is dynamically entering the maritime tourism map with the new port infrastructures allowing the docking of tourist boats and the shielding of the beach front against waves.

SABO Group President, Mr. Dimitris Kiliaris was happy to attend the inauguration of the project which was held in the presence of the Governor of South Aegean Region, George Chatzimarkos, the Member of Parliament Dodecanese Islands, Yannis Pappas and the Lipsi Mayor, Fotis Maggos.

Armed with the know-how in the execution of port projects, the identification of the special conditions of the remote islands, the proprietary equipment and the coordination of the technical teams, our engineers needed only a few months to successfully complete the project!

Specifically, we delivered a new coastal quay 310 meters long, equipped with modern water intake, power supply and firefighting systems for the safe docking of touristic vessels, as well as bollards & fenders.
